Las Cruces, NM – Yesterday, State Auditor Hector Balderas met with representatives from local governments in southern New Mexico to offer a training session. During the event at New Mexico State University, Balderas talked to the group regarding changes to state audit rules, what his office expects from local governments on a yearly basis and how they can request an auditor. As KRWG's Marco Grajeda reports, the Las Cruces visit was Balderas' last day away from the office today it's back to reviewing audit requests, including one involving controversial trust land deals.
