Teen Arrested In July Shooting Death At An Albuquerque Park

Authorities say a teenager has been arrested in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting at an Albuquerque park two months ago.

Albuquerque police say homicide detectives obtained a warrant for the 17-year-old suspect Tuesday and arrested him when he appeared at Metropolitan Court on unrelated charges.

The name of the teen isn't being released by The Associated Press because he's a juvenile.

Police say the suspect is being held on an open count of murder along with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and other charges.

Police say 14-year-old Isaiah Albright was one of three teens shot July 27 at Pat Hurley Park.

The other two victims survived.

Police say Albright was hanging out with friends in the early morning hours at the park at the time of the shooting.
