Teen Girl May Be In Danger

A 15-year-old Hatch girl who disappeared over the weekend could be in danger, according to Doña Ana County Sheriff’s detectives who have been looking for her since Saturday.

The family of Jasmin Gutierrez said they woke early Saturday morning and found a note, allegedly from Jasmin, saying she was being forced to leave with her 17-year-old boyfriend, Jose Lopez. If she didn’t comply, according to the note, Lopez would harm her family.

Jose Lopez also goes by “Che.” Neither Lopez nor Gutierrez has had any communication with their families since Saturday.

Anyone with any information on their whereabouts is asked to call the detective assigned to the case at(575) 525-8886, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward. The Crime Stoppers number is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is completely anonymous.

Smart phone users can download the Crime Stoppers app, which is free and available through the App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android using the search name “P3 Tips.”
