Las Cruces---A Dona Ana County Grand Jury indicted four teens involved in a shooting on July 31, 2015 which resulted in the death of Jaycob Alba. Daniel Munoz, 17, D’Shaun Hermans, Jordan Gift and Adrian Hortelano all 18 years of age, are facing charges of First Degree Felony Murder, Aggravated Burglary, Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery, Tampering with Evidence, Aggravated Battery, and Shooting at an Inhabited Dwelling.
The crimes occurred at a trailer park off of Dona Ana Road around 3 a.m. on July 31st . Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Deputies found Jaycob Alba’s body at the scene. A trailer park resident was also wounded.
All defendants will be tried as adults in District Court; and the District Attorney’s Office has requested that all four defendants be held without bond.
