Due to the potential lapse in appropriations and an associated shutdown of the federal government that would take effect at midnight tonight, the town hall scheduled for Friday, Feb. 9, at 5 p.m. in the WSMR post theater to discuss the investigation at the Thomas J.P. Jones Child Development Center will be postponed.
Here is the statement from White Sands Missile Range:
If a government shutdown does happen, the people needed to support the discussion will be furloughed and unavailable.
In order to give families who plan to attend some degree of certainty in scheduling, we will not hold the meeting on Friday even if Congress reaches a funding agreement.
An announcement concerning a new meeting date will be made as soon as possible.
