UPDATE: Missing Las Cruces Woman And Daughters Found In Gallup

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 27-year-old Angelita Bahe, the woman who removed her two young daughters from school without permission on Thursday.

Angelita Bahe is now charged with child abuse and is believed to have travelled by bus to Albuquerque on Thursday. Investigators believe Bahe and her children may be headed to Gallup, N.M.

Detectives learned that Bahe went to MacArthur Elementary School, at 655 N. 4th St., at around 8 a.m. Thursday, April 26, and removed her two children without checking them out for the day.

Last Thursday Bahe took her children, ages 5 and 9, to a local hospital claiming the girls were possibly injured by someone else. Hospital personnel did not detect any obvious injuries but Las Cruces Police detectives began looking into Bahe’s allegations. On Friday, April 20, Bahe allowed her sister, who also lives in Las Cruces, to take temporary custody of her children while police conducted their investigation.

Detectives were still conducting their investigation on Thursday when Bahe removed her children from the school.

Bahe is Native American, around 5-feet-2-inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and is six months pregnant. Bahe’s last know address is at 1035 McFie Ave. in Las Cruces.

Bahe’s 5-year-old daughter, Brooke, has long black hair and was wearing a black shirt with an iron-on bow tie on the front, a purple jacket and blue jeans. Kireangel, 9, has shoulder-length black hair and was wearing a black shirt, navy blue jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Angelita Bahe and her two daughters is asked to call 911 or Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be sent via text message to LCTIPS (528477) or by email to lcpdtips@las-cruces.org.
