UPDATE: One Injured In Las Cruces Shooting

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police are continuing to investigate a Saturday morning incident that resulted in gunfire and a 20-year-old man being transported to an El Paso hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, Las Cruces Police were called to a residence at 2501 El Camino Real where the victim was suffering from one gunshot wound. The man was treated at the scene and then taken by ambulance to University Medical Center of El Paso. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Detectives learned that the victim got into a fight with another man. At some point during the altercation, the other man pulled out a handgun and fired at least one shot that struck the 20-year-old victim.

LCPD detectives have interviewed several possible witnesses to Saturday morning's incident but, at this time, no arrests have been made.
