Webber's Fundraising Balance Far Ahead Of Other Democrats

Alan Webber

Democrat Alan Webber reports raising nearly $115,700 for his campaign for governor in the past month.

The latest campaign finance disclosures show that Attorney General Gary King collected about $12,300 in contributions and Sen. Howie Morales raised $22,000.

They are among five Democrats seeking the party's nomination for governor in the June 3 primary election. The winner will run against Republican Gov. Susana Martinez in the November general election.

Webber reported cash-on-hand of nearly $455,900 as of last week. King had a campaign balance of $48,300 and Morales had $44,700.

Monday is the deadline for candidates to file reports showing fundraising from April 8 through May 5.

No reports were immediately available from the secretary of state's web site for Martinez and Democrats Lawrence Rael and Linda Lopez.
