Woman Wanted After Alleged Knife Attack On Former Boyfriend

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s investigators have obtained a warrant for a Las Cruces woman who allegedly attacked her former boyfriend with a knife.

Lisa Holguin, 23, allegedly attacked the 35-year-old victim as he was eating breakfast on Dec. 21 in the 9000 block of Horace Lane. Holguin was reportedly armed with a set of brass knuckles that were also outfitted with a knife.

According to the victim, Holguin entered the front door unannounced and began accusing the victim of trying to get her in trouble over another legal matter.

Holguin came at the victim with the weapon, injuring him on his right temple, his chest and right wrist. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

The victim was able to get the weapon from Holguin, who reportedly fled.

Sheriff’s investigators have charged Holguin with aggravated burglary (armed after entering) and aggravated battery against a household member with a deadly weapon. Her bond has been set at $20,000 cash, according to Magistrate Court Judge Joel Cano.

Holguin is described as five feet, five inches tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office, (575) 525-8806.
