LAS CRUCES---The Las Cruces Green Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Friends of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks, is hosting a workshop for local businesses to learn how to fill out Special Recreation Permits with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These permits would allow businesses to conduct commercial events on the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks (OMDP) National Monument.
The workshop, taking place on Tuesday, August 30th at the Branigan Library RoadRunner Room, will feature staff from the BLM’s Las Cruces office discussing the protocol and procedures of completing a Special Recreation Permit. The BLM is the managing agent of OMDP.
The workshop runs from 5:30 to 7:30 and is free to any individual or business interested in organizing commercial activities within the Monument. RSVP’s are required at carrie@nmgreenchamber.com or 575-323-1575.
